THE COLOUR FLOORING COMPANY was set up by two journalists, Bill Tuckey and Lena Corner. Once meeting they found that they had a mutual problem of not being able to source a reliable flooring surface. They say it seemed impossible to find a affordable block-colour floor surface which wasn’t speckled, marbling or any of these other surfaces which are seen quite often.
This lack of simple yet effective flooring inspired the couple to develop The Colour Flooring Company, which is today a London-based online business which provides a large palette of sheet vinyl/rubber for specifically flooring.
Their company works for customers such as Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, Toni & Guy and the BBC, this shows their achievements within their field as they are supplying huge companies with this commercial flooring.
After researching into this company I was intrigued as to what their product was like and how their colours came out as well as the feel to this new flooring concept, I ordered some samples of both their Vinyl and Rubber flooring so I could see for myself. After looking at these samples I could understand why they are popular within the commercial retail.
Their Vinyl flooring is tough enough to take the impact of kids, animals, movement of furniture and are a highly scratch-resistant material, as well as being a water proof surface, this flooring has great acoustic properties and is soft and warm under the foot.
Their Rubber flooring has the same properties as the Vinyl however it has no wear layer because the entire thickness of the flooring is the same colour all the way through.
