CoLAB| STREET ARTIST’S

Pete McKee

Pete McKee is a painter and commercial artist from Sheffield, England. He is a cartoonist for the Sheffield Telegraph’s sports section. He has exhibited regularly around the North of England. Using bright colours his larger than life and often humorous characters inhabit a world of working men’s clubs, bingo halls and family trips to the seaside.

The snog is painted around the traffic area, and still has some public storage or tool store open here. Therefore, many people always drive past these paintings, when they go through the crossroads they will see the graffiti on the back of the buildings.

Phlegm

Phlegm is a world-known cartoonist and illustrator. He is also well known for his self-published comics and highly creative street art. Phlegm’s work is distinctively detailed, composed of odd figures and a narrative structure. His work inspires greatness and is even often inspired by graffiti, where Phlegm transforms run down urban spaces and factories.

Surrounding the graffiti there are some corner shops open. In the afternoon, many customers are willing to come here for shopping or sitting at a cafe. At the same time, they can enjoy the good paintings and get inspired to go see the street art surrounding Sheffield.

Rocket01

Rocket01 is based in Sheffield in the north of England and has been working away for more than twenty years as a street artist. His style is a strange dreamy, creating an atmospheric mix of portraiture and organic surrealism, a fusion of science and nature combines to both comfort and disturb.

That portrait paintings are put around Sheffield Hallam University. These are situated where students will see them after class and as they are large famous figures this could potentially inspire them.

As Sheffield is known for street art we thought it would be interesting to incorporate a map of all the street art around the city, this will give visitors or even residence to take a tour around the city seeing all the unique artists.
